Leading in a Time of Persistent Uncertainty: A Conversation with Edward Marshall

Hosted by The Association of Talent Development - Research Triangle Area

How can we possibly lead and navigate so many levels of uncertainty? How do we create a sense of certainty, stability, safety, and clarity of direction when there is so much that is unknown? There is hope. Though we will never return to how it was in January, 2020, we can lead. To do so, there are three critical factors:

(1) Being principled;

(2) Being grounded; and

(3) Leading collaboratively.

In this way, others can count on us and we will provide stability, certainty, safety, and clarity. In this transformative moment, if there is anything that is certain, it is that if we act together, we will survive the pandemic, re-imagine our workplaces, navigate these rocky seas, and be a beacon of hope for others.
